The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has scheduled another important Central Committee meeting for October 05 at 7 PM to make a final decision on the Presidential election.

The meeting comes a day after the Court of Appeal verdict on the eligibility of SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to run for the election.

A Central Committee meeting of the party ended in conclusively last night, without a final decision on the party's position on the Presidential election.

A party spokesman said a decision on whether to support the SLPP at the Presidential election would be made on October 05.
