Former Minister W.B. Ekanayake who pledged support to UNP Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa took another U-turn today and made an appearance at SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's rally in Anuradhapura.

Ekanayake was a minister in the Mahinda Rajapaksa government. He defected to the UNP camp last week and expressed solidarity with Premadasa

He pledged support to Premadasa along with former Minister Athauda Seneviratne, another senior SLFPer representing the Kegalle District.
