The Attorney General has directed the Police to arrest former MP J. Sri Ranga over an accident in Vavuniya that killed a person.

The accident took place in 201, when Ranga was an MP affiliated with the previous government.

Upon loosing his Parliamentary seat, Ranga currently functions as a broadcast journalist at a private media institution.

Ranga has been accused of driving the vehicle when the fatal accident took place.
