Sirisena Returns To Country Ending His Last Foreign Tour As President: Speculations Over President's Next Political Move

President Maithripala Sirisena has returned to the country ending his three-day official visit to Japan.

The visit to Japan was Sirisena's foreign tour as the President of Sri Lanka.

However, speculation is rife that Sirisena will openly pledge support to one of the main candidates before the end of the election campaign.

Sirisena opted to remain "neutral" after his party decided to enter into an alliance with SLPP candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
