Presidential candidate of the Ruhunu Janatha Party Ajantha de Zoysa pledged support to NDF candidate Sajith Premadasa.

De Zoysa expressed solidarity with Premadasa at an NDF rally held in Kosgoda.

He is the first presidential candidate at this election to openly pledge support to another candidate during for campaign period.

De Zoysa is the son of a former politician in the Ambalangoda area.
