Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is currently chairing a meeting with UNP parliamentary group at Temple Trees,

The meeting was convened to make a final decision on the party's future course of action.

A number of Cabinet ministers have resigned from their posts following the UNP's defeat at the Parliamentary election.

Meanwhile, issuing a statement, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said he would hold discussions with the Opposition Leader, the Speaker and party leaders on holding a Parliamentary election.
