UPDATE: Court Extends Travel Ban On Allegedly "Abducted" Swiss Embassy Worker Till December 12

The Colombo Chief Magistrate extended the travel ban on the Swiss Embassy worker who was allegedly "abducted" by an unidentified group in Colombo, till December 12.

She was initailly barred from leaving the country till December 09 as the CID wanted to record a statement from her with regard to the alleged abduction.

The CID recorded a 09-hour statement from her last evening.

The female employee, who was allegedly abducted by five men in a white Toyota Corolla car and questioned was also reportedly assualted. She has been directed to Judicial Medical Officer for examination.

Her statement comes just as a court imposed deadline ends. On December 3, Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne imposed a temporary travel ban until December 9 on the alleged victim also directing her to make a statement to the CID before then.
