Japanese Affairs Minister Motegi Toshimitsu To Visit Sri Lanka From December 12-14

Japan Foreign Affairs Minister Motegi Toshimitsu is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka from 12th to 14th December with a view to further strengthening the bilateral relationship between Japan and Sri Lanka.

He is the first high-profile Japanese dignitary to visit Sri Lanka after President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa came to power.

Japan is involved in a number of strategic projects in Sri Lanka including the East Container Terminal (ECT) at the Colombo Port.
