Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka was granted bail by the Colombo Magistrate's Court, a short while ago.

Ranawaka was arrested last week over a 2016 accident in which a youth was injured.

He was remanded till December 24 by the Magistrate. '

Meanwhile. Ranawaka's driver Thusitha Kumara has been remanded till January 06.

He has surrendered himself to the Police over the same investigation.
