Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen's brother, Rifkan Bathiudeen, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Rifkan Bathideen is known to be a businessman by profession.

Police sources said the former Minister's brother was arrested in connection with a fraudulent land deal.

He is expected to be produced before Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.
