Sri Lanka's Total Number Of COVID19 Cases Surpass 1000 Threshold: 28 New Cases Found From Oluvil QC: Total Cases Now At 1020

Sri Lanka's total number of COVID-19 patients officially crossed the 1000 threshold today with the discovery of 28 new cases

With the latest numbers, Sri Lanka is at 1020 total cases of whom 569 have recovered. 442 are active cases undergoing care in government hospitals.

Issuing a statement, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said the new cases detected today were all naval officers from within the Oluvil quarantine centre.

Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva said the spread of COVID19 clusters outside QCs has been contained to a great degree.
