Veteran actress Angela Seneviratne announced that she was in need of a kidney from an A+ donor to save her life.

The actress said yesterday that she was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure and needed urgent surgery.

Seneviratne is a well-known actress in Sri Lankan cinema and teledramas playing a number of notable roles in the 80s and 90s.

She has also worked as a columnist contributing to art pages of several Engish newspapers.
