Journalist And Others Who Were Sent To Self-Quarantine After Attending Thondaman's Funeral Tested Negative For COVID19

Health authorities have confirmed that the journalist and three others who were sent to self-quarantine yesterday after attending Arumugam Thondaman's funeral have been tested negative for COVID19.

They were subjected to PCR testing at Dikoya hospital due to "suspicious symptoms."

The journalist had reportedly covered the funeral when the former Minister's body was kept at his private residence in Battaramulla and at the party headquarters.

Thondaman's funeral has sparked public outrage as the organisers defied quarantine regulations imposed by the government.
