All movie theatres in the country will reopen from June 27 the Film Exhibitors Association said.

The Association said the Health Ministry had authorized the reopening of movie theatres following proposals made by them.

However, movie threatres will operate in adherence to strict health and safety standards.

Sri Lanka's entertainment industry was severely affected due to the spread of COVID19 and the subsequent lockdown.
