Ajith Mannapperuma's Right Leg Amputated

UNP Parliamentarian Ajith Mannapperuma's right leg has been amputated from knee last evening due to injuries he sustained following an accident on the Southern expressway, hospital sources told Asian Mirror. 

Mannapperuma admitted to Nagoda hospital following the accident which took place near the 40th km post of the Southern Expressway. His driver too was hospitalized following the accident. 
 
Hospital sources earlier confirmed that the UNP Parliamentarian's life was not in danger. The Parliamentarian was later transferred to Colombo National Hospital for further treatments. 
 
MP Mannapperuma was appointed to Parliamentarian by the United National Party after the demise of Gampaha district MP  Dr. Jayalath Jayawardena. An Engineer by profession, he was previously the Mayor of Gampaha Urban Council.
