Government Press Fire - Police Still In doubt

A fire broke out this evening (26) in the building of Government Press , one of the country's most important buildings, Police told Asian Mirror. 

The fire had started in the first floor of the building. 

The Fire Brigade, according to Police, was called in immediately and the fire has already been doused. 

The damage caused by the fire  is yet to be estimated. However, Police stated that it was a minor fire and there was no serious damage to important state documents.

Police are still conducting investigations to find out whether this was an act of sabotage. 

Government Press is the state institution handling  all government publications including gazette notices and other highly important documents.
