'Duplicate Sirisena" Is A Resident Of Medamulana!

December 13, 2014

It has now been revealed that Rathnayake Arachchige Sirisena, the Maithripala Sirisena lookalike who is contesting the presidential election this time, is a resident of Medamuna – the village where President Mahinda Rajapaksa was born and grew up in.

The duplicate “Sirisena” is also a former Grama Sevaka, similar to Maithripala Sirisena who started his career as a Grama Sevaka in the district of Polonnaruwa.

Interestingly, Rathnayake Arachchige Sirisena was the one who played Maithripala Sirisena’s character in the TV comedy “And Company”, which was aired on Swarnavahini.

On the final day of nominations, R.A. Sirisena took everyone by surprise as he strongly resembled the appearance of Common Candidate of the opposition Maithripala Sirisena.

Today, the Sunday Lankadeepa newspaper reported that R.A. Sirisena’s residence is located just a few doors away from the ancestral home of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Presidential Candidate R.A. Sirisena has still not made a public announcement explaining as to why he decided to contest the presidential election. There is no evidence that he was involved in the political field before the presidential election. However, some believe that some quarters of the rural populace will confuse R.A. Sirisena with Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena and vote for the former.
