The Opposition Leader of the North Central Provincial Council Kings Kumar Nelson offered his support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the forthcoming presidential election.

Nelson made this announcement at a press conference at SLFP headquarters in Colombo a short while ago.

The Opposition Leader, who is the son of the former Minister H.G.P. Nelson, received 34,341 preferential votes, the highest number received by a UNP candidate at the 2012 North Central Provincial Council election.
