Opposition MPs "Raid" BMICH in Search Of Fake Ballot Papers

A group Parliamentarians of the opposition entered the BMICH  to carry out an investigation into "fake ballot" papers that were allegedly being kept within the premises.

UNP Leadership Council Chairman Karu Jayasuriya, UNP Assistant Leader Ravi Karunanayake, JHU Parliamentarian Athuraliye Rathana thera, JVP Parliamentarian Wijitha Herath, former Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Parliamentarian Arjuna Ranatunga were among the group of opposition MPs carrying out the investigation.

Sources told Asian Mirror that the opposition had received information that fake ballot papers are being kept within the premises of the BMICH.

"It was Lanka room at the BMICH that was rumored to have ballot papers. It was just opened in front of us. There was nothing inside,"UNP Parliamentarian Dr. Harsha de Silva said.

The opposition requested the police to raid four rooms of the BMICH complex which the workers had refused to open. However, they could not find anything suspicious from the BMICH premises.
