MR's Transport Director Arrested over Missing Vehicles

February 17, 2015

Former Transport Director of the Presidential Secretariat Keerthi Samarasinghe Dissanayake has been arrested by Police over missing vehicles at the Secretariat.

He was previously banned from leaving the country by the Colombo Magistrate on the grounds over 100  vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat had not been returned and the transport log book had been missing.

The arrest has been made by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

A few weeks ago, 53 vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat were found by Police, abandoned at a yard in Colombo. However, the former president’s aides kept saying that the vehicles were stationed at the yards belonging to the government.
