Supreme Court has ordered to postpone the Puthukuduirippu and Maritimepattu Pradeshiya Sabha elections which were scheduled to be held tomorrow.
According o the Supreme Court decision, the elections will be held on March 27.
The elections of the two Pradeshiya Sabhas could not be held in 2011 after a plea was filed in a court citing incompletion of the resettlement of displaced person
A large number of residents of the area were among those who were displaced during the final stages of war between the Sri Lankan military and the LTTE.
