Cabinet Minister of Buddha Sasana, Public Administration and Democratic Governance Karu Jayasuriya stated that various attempts are being made to destabilize and overthrow the ‘good governance’ government.

With the support of the business class which gained wealth and power recently, certain people are trying to create a clash between the UNP and President Maithripala Sirisena, Jayasuriya stated.

“We have a lot of information about their plans and objectives. We will certainly reveal the true face of those conspiracies in near future” the minister stressed.

He said that these individuals try to convince the public that the ‘honeymoon period’ of the government was over. However, a majority of people approve of the direction the country is heading” Jayasuriya added.
