Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay Visits Anuradhapura

Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay visited Anuradhapura on Saturday morning.

North Western Province Chief Minister Peshala Jayaratne welcomed the visiting dignitary upon his arrival at the city.

The Bhutanese Prime Minister then called on the Chief Incumbent of the Atamasthana Most Venerable Dr. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thera.

Tobgay then worshipped the Sacred Sri Maha Bodhi. He was also presented with a sapling of the sacred tree.

Tshering Tobgay is the first Bhutanese Head of Government to undertake a bilateral trio to Sri Lanka. He will leave for Bhutan on Sunday.
