Two TN fishermen Teams To Arrive Sri Lanka To Take back 18 Boats

Two teams of fishermen left India on Wednesday (22)  to sri Lanka in order to bring back 18 boats, released on the court orders, after getting them repaired, Indian media reported.
 
According to the media one group would go to Karaiyur to bring back 12 boats while other group to Talaimannar to get custody of 6 boats.
 
The two teams which are comprising 143 fishermen and boat mechanics, will stay and repair the boats and take them to India.
 
The total cost for each vessel would be about Rs 5 lakh, a top official of Indian Fisheries Department said, adding that the government will also take all steps to rehabilitate the fishermen.
