September 20, 2016

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's second son Yoshitha Rajapaksa requested from Colombo High Court to grant him permission to travel abroad for medical treatment.

High Court Judge A.A.R. Heyiyanthuduwa fixed the consideration of the request to September 22, after Yoshitha Rajapaksa's lawyer informed court that he is unable to attend the court proceedings today.

Rajapaksa's passport was impounded by the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court regarding the CSN case. Rajapaksa was arrested by the FCID on January 30 this year and was released on bail by Colombo High Court in March.
