Pirates Of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales Brings Back Ghostly Villains

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, also known as Salazar’s Revenge, is hits cinemas today. In the latest movie, directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, Disney tries to reinvigorate the franchise, hence going back to its roots, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

The movie sees Captain Jack Sparrow pursued by an old rival, Armando Salazar. Along with his Spanish Navy ghost crew, Salazar has escaped from the Devil’s Triangle, and is on a mission to kill every pirate at sea. Jack gains new allies, Henry and Carina, who help him seek the Trident of Poseidon: a powerful object that will grant the owner complete control over the seas, and therefore defeat Salazar.
Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley will be returning to their respective roles as Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, following their absence from the fourth film, On Stranger Tides. New recruits include Javier Bardem as Armando Salazar, Brenton Thwaites as Henry Turner and Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth.
The five-part franchise based on a Walt Disney-themed ride, the swashbuckler movies take place in the 17th century, where pirates are free from the ruling powers of the British Empire, The Spanish Empire and The East India Company.
The themes in the movies touch upon old legends centered around the sea. And of course, sword-fighting!  The critics seems to be not that happy about the newest installment. Nevertheless, a sixth film is said to be in development.
