Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera accused the government of pampering Tawheed Jamaath or the SLTJ, which is spreading fundamentalist Wahhabi ideology in Sri Lanka, and is slowly invading the traditional Muslim society of the country.
Speaking yesterday of the threat by the sLTJ against the BBS, Gnanasara Thera said that they warned of the SLTJ four years ago when the former government was in power.
The SLTJ is a branch of the Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaath and is serving separatist and Wahhabi ends, Gnanasara Thera said.
He added that if the country's laws are not used against the SLTJ, the BBS will have to take the law into its hand to stop the threat of fundamentalism.
