In a significant operation, 99 kg of hashish, valued at ₹108 crore, was intercepted by India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and the Indian Coast Guard near the Mandapam coast in Tamil Nadu.##

The joint team acted on a tip-off, surveilling the Gulf of Mannar and intercepting a country boat bound for Sri Lanka.

Upon inspection, five concealed sacks containing hashish were discovered, leading to the apprehension of three individuals onboard. Further investigation revealed a kingpin orchestrating the smuggling operation, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking.
