Staggering 40% Vacancies Plague Sri Lanka's Audit Service, Recruitment Drive Initiated


The National Audit Office disclosed that a staggering 40% of positions within the audit service remain unfilled.

Auditor General W.A.C. Wickramaratne highlighted the challenges stemming from this shortage, particularly in executing vital special audits. To address the issue, applications have been solicited for the recruitment of audit officers, with a specific focus on government-employed graduates.

Plans are underway to swiftly conduct competitive examinations and onboard qualified candidates to fill the 465 vacancies.
