The Election Commission of Sri Lanka declared its intent to solicit nominations for the upcoming presidential election within the stipulated timeframe, as dictated by the Constitution and the Presidential Elections Act, No. 15 of 1981.
The Commission announced that the presidential election will take place between September 17th and October 16th, 2024.
