The Department of Examinations has unveiled fraudulent activities at two examination centers during the ongoing G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination, leading to a planned complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

Commissioner General of Examinations, Amith Jayasundara, disclosed that irregularities surfaced during the English Language exam in Colombo and Hasalaka centers.
Students allegedly utilized mobile phones to capture exam paper images and distribute them for answers, but vigilant officials confiscated the devices.
In response, the Department will escalate the matter by filing complaints at area police stations.
