A British man has been arrested in Thailand after police raided an alleged drugs and fake passport gang and found a woman's dismembered body in a freezer.
The 63-year-old was detained after a shootout in the capital Bangkok which left one officer in a "serious but stable" condition.
Four others were also arrested including two Americans and two Burmese nationals, MGR online reports.
Police said they found drugs and a passport-making machine in the five-storey building as well as several pistols.
In the basement, the remains of a blonde woman's body were found chopped up in a two-metre by two-metre fridge.
The five pieces were wrapped in black, plastic bags.
The victim was still wearing clothes and shoes.
Her identity and nationality and cause of death are unknown and investigations continue.
Police have so far been unable to verify the identities of the foreign nationals detained as they found a number of passports bearing different names and nationalities.
General Somprasong Yentuam said: “Officers were not expecting a body and were shocked to find it in the fridge."
