JVP Will Hold Discussions With Prime Minister If Necessary: Lalkantha

JVP Politburo Member K. D. Lalkantha stated that his party held discussions on certain matters with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in the past and will hold discussions if necessary in the future as well.

Speaking at a rally in Nattandiya recently, he said that the JVP was prepared to discuss issues with Wickremesinghe, President Maithripala Sirisena, former President Chandrika Kumaratunga or any other leader if the party think it is necessary.

The JVP's interest is in solving problems of the country, he said further. If someone describes it as allying with the UNP, let them do so, Lalkantha stressed.
