President Calls For Unity Among South Asian Leaders Against Drug Smuggling

President Maithripala Sirisena stated that all South Asian leaders should unite to defeat the drug smuggling in the region.
 
He made this observation yesterday when he met the President of Maldives Abdulla Yameen at the Maldivian capital, Male.
 
President Sirisena also said that he will be committed to defeating the drug trade, instituting a food policy and conserving the environment during his tenure.
 
President Sirisena met with his Maldivian counterpart at the President’s House, during his tour to the country. Sirisena visited the small island state to attend its 50th independence day celebrations.
