The petition against convening SLFP Central Committee meetings without the party Chairman's approval was withdrawn today at the Colombo District Court.

The petition was taken up today before District Court judge T.D. Gunasekara. The plaintiff, Prasanna Solangaarachchi, informed court that there was no need to continue with the petition.

Colombo District Court issued an enjoining order against the convening of the SLFP CC without the Chairman's approval on July 15.
