'Possibly Criminal'

A hospital run by the medical charity Medicins Sans Frontiers was bombed in Kunduz yesterday, killing 12 of its staff and seven patients. The MSF said that they had provided the coordinates of the hospital to all belligerant parties. The UN Human Rights Chief Prince Zeid said the attack was "tragic, inexcusable and possibly even criminal".

The photo shows MSF staff at a state of shock following the attack.

The US forces were carrying out air strikes at the time.
