UPFA Hambantota MP Namal Rajapaksa condemned yesterday's clash between the police and protesters from Bandagiriya in Hambantota District.

"Strongly condemn police clashing with protesters at Badagiriya, Hambantota. They were only asking for clean water", Rajapaksa said on his Twitter page.

Police yesterday clashed with the protesters from Bandagiriya who were demanding clean water. Several police personnel and protesters were injured during the clash and some protesters were arrested.
