An amount exceeding 8 lakh was robbed this morning at a bank in Dambulla by one individual.

A person concealing his face entered the bank, threatened the staff with a hand grenade and made off with the money..

The robber fled in three-wheeler along with an abducted staff member of the bank. The staff member was dropped on the way.
