Colombo Fort Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage today recalled the arrest warrant issued for Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera after he surrendered to court this morning.

Gnanasara Thera's counsels informed court that he was unable to attend the hearing of two cases yesterday due to heavy traffic in Colombo.

Police introduced a new traffick plan yesterday which created heavy traffic in several parts of Colombo and the suburbs.

The cases pertaining to Gnanasara Thera's alleged defamatory comments on The Quran and on his alleged obstruction of a press conference of the Jathika Bala Sena were taken up for hearing yesterday and Gnanasara Thera was absent in court.
