Anandasangaree Complains At TULF Being Left Out

The Tamil United Liberation Front leader V. Anandasangaree stated that he was extremely disappointed at the TULF not being invited to the all-party meeting, which is scheduled to be held this evening under the patronage of the President.

Sending a letter to president Maithripala Sirisena, the TULF leader said that he could not agree with the principles which the government has adopted to organize such kinds of party meetings.

Earlier the reports said that the leaders of all registered political parties will be invited, he pointed out. Later he learned that only leaders of Political Parties represented in Parliament were invited for the meeting.

It is unacceptable to see that the government is continuously ignoring opinions of TULF, one of the oldest party established in Sri Lanka, Anandasangaree said.

Moreover, the TULF leader requested the president to adopt 'fair model', when it comes to organizing all party meetings.

The all-party meeting will be held at 5.00pm today at the Presidential Secretariat to discuss a domestic mechanism to probe into alleged war crimes.
