The Constitutional Council named members of five independent commissions at its recent meeting and submitted the names for the President's approval.

Accordingly, members have been recommended for the Delimitation Commission, Elections Commission, Finance Commission, National Tender Commission and National Audit Commission.

Meanwhile, a replacement was also suggested for Lionel Fernando, who resigned from the Human Rights Commission.
