Nishantha Ranatunga has submitted nominations to contest for the Presidency of Sri Lanka Cricket.

Several other contestants are said to submit their nominations within next few days.

Ranatunga, 49, who was a former national player, was also a former Secretary of SLC. Ranatunga has also played for several major cricket teams including Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) and Colts Cricket Club.
