Government Release LTTE Suspects To Gain Political Mileage, Says Gotabaya

Government release LTTE suspects to gain political mileage, says the Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Rajapaksa commented this yesterday in a press conference held at Abhayarama, Narahenpita.

He stated that there were about 200 LTTE suspects in Bussa camp and most of them did not like to change their ideas until they complete the targets they were assigned for by the LTTE.

He also said that there were terrorists such as Morris and Giri, who were responsible for terrorist attacks in Colombo, among the suspects.

Government releases them for political mileage without considering difficulties faced by government when arresting them, said Rajapaksa.
