SLFP Considering Disciplinary Action Against More Members

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party is considering the possibility of taking disciplinary action against more of its members for allegedly creating dissent in the party ranks, political sources said.

Accordingly, the Central Committee of the party has received complaints about such activities by certain members of the party.

The party recently said that it was planning to take disciplinary action against nine local councilors for criticizing the party leadership. However, no further step has yet been taken against them.
