South Africa, Sri Lanka Men's And Women's Teams Clash For Pride On Monday

The men's and women's teams of both South Africa and Sri Lanka are out of the T20 World Cup held in India, and they will clash on Monday to salvage consolation victories.

The women's teams will meet at 3.30pm in Bengaluru and the men's teams will begin their match later than night at Delhi.

Both the men's teams lost their slim chances of getting into the semi-finals with Sri Lanka's defeat at the hands of England. England had earlier defeated South Africa after the latter had given a target exceeding 200 runs in their game.

Sri Lanka women's captain, Chamari Atapattu, who has had to fill in for Shashikala Siriwardene after one game, told Sports Star Live that "Our batters have done well. But we've lost wickets in clusters after 10-12 overs. That and a lot of fielding and bowling errors have cost us."

Sri Lanka women scored a respectable 123 in their last game against Australia.
