Sirisena Explains Stance On Foreign Policy

Sri Lanka’s foreign policy is based on the principle of, relationship with one country being non-detrimental on another, said President Maithripala Sirisena.

He made this observation while addressing a group of representatives of German parliament at the Presidential Secretariat.

The German representatives had enquired the President about Sri Lanka’s foreign policy regarding neighbouring countries and relationship with them.

Responding, the President said that Sri Lanka has got a centuries-old relationship with India. The country has strong ties with China in many subjects.
