PC Arrested For Laggala Weapons Theft

The Police Constable who was in charge of the armory at the time of the recent theft of weapons was arrested by the CID yesterday.

He is expected to be produced before the Naula Magistrate today.

The theft occurred in the early hours of April 14. A T-56 and several revolvers disappeared from the armory in the police, while several personnel were on duty.

The weapons were discovered several days later near a Buddhist temple.
