Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said today that there was no conspiracy in the failure of the audio system of the Parliament, as claimed by certain parties.

Making a statement today in the Parliament, he said that the failure occurred due to a technical failure.

The Parliament was adjourned for the day after the technical fault yesterday. The sessions commenced this morning.

The nofaith motion against the Finance Minister was today presented to the Parliament. It was scheduled to be debated yesterday.
