Three persons were killed when a bus collided head-on with a van in Ballapana, Galigamuwa along the Colombo- Kandy road.

At least ten others were injured and were hospitalized. Some of them are in critical condition.

A Mawanella-Colombo bus was involved in the accident. Heavy traffic was reported following the accident.
