Rio Olympics: Sri Lanka's Rajasekara 129th In Women's Marathon

Sri Lankan marathon runner Niluka Geethani Rajasekara finished at 129th place in the women's marathon today at the Rio Olympics.

She clocked a time of 3:11:31.

Kenya's Jemima Jelagat Sumgong won the race recording a time of 2:24:04. Bahrain's Eunice Jepkirui Kirwa won the silver medal nine seconds off the winner, and Ethiopia's Mare Dibaba took bronze, 26 seconds back.

133 athletes managed to finish the race.
